A New Page in Reappearing

I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Practice Doctorate Supervisor at Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam!

In my new, exciting endeavor within the Sandberg Institute, I will:

Innovate, mentor, and learn in the field of empowering the commons in healthcare.

Use my background as a global regulatory scientist in the pharmaceutical industry, an epistemo-pathologist, and a decolonial writer in medical science to challenge Western scientific beliefs, perceptions, and rituals that hinder the contribution of patient and crip knowledge.

Call on my Dharmic Indian, Bantu Kongo relational knowledge, and Western artistry as a ground for healing from Western science’s intrinsic objectification and dehumanization of the patient and the public.

I’m looking forward to making a meaningful and innovative impact in the lives of patients, people with disabilities, and the public in the most creative way.

This new step in my development also means that I will have less time for writing on my blog, especially because I started to write a new book. While I’m assessing how to share my future experience, I will reduce the updates on my blog to quarterly, instead of monthly with a three month summer break.
